linux(Unix计算机操作系统) Knoppix KNOPPIX是一款运行在cd(存储声音信号轨道)/dvd(数字多功能光盘存储器)之上的可启动Live系统，由壹系列拥有代理性的GNU/linux(Unix计算机操作系统)程序组成，也集成了自动硬体检查测试，支持多种显示接口卡、电脑声卡、SCSI和usb(通用串行总线的缩写)装置以及其它外置。KNOPPIX可以让用作桌面linux(Unix计算机操作系统)系统，教育cd(存储声音信号轨道)，应急系统，或者作为商使程序展示平台，无须装配至硬碟上即可使用。得好于实时解压技术，KNOPPIX CD版上顶多能够集成2 gb(千兆字节，电脑的一种存储单位)的能运行程序，且dvd(数字多功能光盘存储器)“Maxi”版本中集成的程序则优到8gb(千兆字节，电脑的一种存储单位)！

目前，KNOPPIX发布了最新的5.0.1版本，最近修改主要升级例如以下：

- Linux kernel(操作系统的核心部分) 2.6.17 (rc(资源模板扩展名))
- Debian (检测中/否稳定版本)
- Xorg version(描述,说法,看法,版本) 7.0
- 检测集成IDE-raid(价格便宜且多余的磁盘阵列)调节器及raid硬盘插件
- 用于自动硬体检查测试的udev+hwsetup
- 来源Debian非平稳版本的kde(自由图形工作环境) 3.5.2, GNOME 2.12
- openoffice(跨平台的办公室套件) 2.0.2 (德语+英文)
- 支持ntfs(高级服务器文件系统)分盘的通透写探访(libntfs+fuse)
- 崭新的knoppix-installer(专门用来管理软件服务)也可以更新目前拥有的Knoppix装配
